Will of John Peen of Frittenden 1727

In the name of God Amen I John Peen of Frittenden in the County of Kent Yeoman being weak in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory praise be given to Almighty God for the same do make and ordain this my present and last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say first and principally prominent my soul into the hands of God who gave it to me and my body to the grave to be decently buried in the christian burial at the discretion of my executors hereafter named and as -ourthing all such worldly goods as has pleased Almighty God to bless me I give and beqeath the same in the manner and form as following first I will that my debts and funeral charges shall be paid and discharged item I give unto my sister Elizabeth Golden twenty shillings to be paid to her within one month of my decease by my executors hereafter named I give to my sister Mary Spovenden to be paid to her within one month of my decease by my executors hereafter named I give to my sister Ann Ragins widow twenty shillings to be paid to her within me month of my decease by my executors hereafter named All the ----- - ------ of my personal estate goods and chattels whatsoever and wheresoever I give unto my loving wife Mary Peen so long as she shall continue a widow and to Richard Gormerry my son in law of Rolvenden after her decease or at any time after she shall be married and do --- ---- ---- --- and appoint she the said Mary Peen my wife and my said son in law Richard Gormerry my full and sole executors of this my last will and testament and I do hereby revoke all former wills by me at any time heretofore made and own this and none other to be my last will and testament and my desire to be buried in the churchyard of Frittenden and my desire is that Mr Norton now curate of Staplehurst shall preach my funeral sermon in the parish church of Frittenden and to be paid for the same twenty shillings by my executors aforesaid in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this first day of April in the fourteenth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George by the grace of god of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the faith anno domini 1727 John Peen his mark sealed and delivered and owned as the last will and testament of the said John Peen in the presence of Richard Bridgland George Maynard ----- Barfoot long as she continue a widow and to Richard Gormerry my son in law of Rolvenden after her decease Probatum written in Latin.
